Jessica Myers

Dr. Jessica Myers is a versatile oboe and English horn player. Jessica has performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Palm Beach Orchestra, at the Ameropa Chamber Music Festival in Prague, participated in the IMANI Winds Chamber Musical Festival, and was a founding member of the virtuosic KHAOS Wind Quintet.  Furthermore, she has had the pleasure of playing in many pit orchestras such as the Florida Grand Opera, Maltz Theatre Pit Orchestra, Mannes Opera, Vocal Productions NYC, and the Butler Ballet.

Jessica is currently acting principal oboe of the Kokomo Symphony, English hornist of Orchestra Indiana, and a regular member of the Kokomo Park Band. She is a teaching artist and Wolf Trap artist with Arts For Learning, providing collaborative musical and educational experiences for little learners ages 3 to Kindergarten. Jessica also is an active central Indiana oboe and double reed instructor teaching across the Hamilton Southeastern district as well as Lawrence Central and Ben Davis.

Dr. Jessica Myers has received degrees from Butler University, Mannes College of Music at The New School, and the University of Miami studying under, respectively, Malcolm W. Smith and Jennifer Christen, Sherry Sylar, and Robert Weiner as his graduate assistant and Henry Manicni Fellow. She has also received an Artist Diploma studying with Dr. Lisa Kozenko at Ball State University.
