The LaRita Boren Children’s Concert is an annual event supported by the Boren Foundation. Orchestra Indiana is proud to carry on this tradition begun by the former Marion Philharmonic Orchestra. The Children’s Concert is especially designed to introduce elementary school children from Grant County and surrounding areas to orchestral music. It is a free concert that is also open to the general public!
The concert annually features a side-by-side performance by the orchestras of Taylor University and Indiana Wesleyan University, joined by professional musicians from Orchestra Indiana. Each year the concert features a new theme, with selections of classical music appropriate for young audiences.
